Postcard giveaway contest!

The online printing company UPrinting.com has offered to sponsor a special contest for Consultant Journal readers. They’re offering 500 free 4×6″ postcards to one lucky reader.

The winner of the postcard printing contest can choose any of Uprinting.com’s stocks, including the eco-friendly 13pt recycled cover stock, 14pt gloss cover or 14pt matte cover. Shipping is included if you live in the United States or Canada — if you’re elsewhere, you’ll need to pay for shipping.

If you’d like to enter to win, simply reply to this post with a story telling me how you’ll use the postcards if you win. Be sure to put your email address in the designated space, so that I can get in touch with you. I’ll be choosing one lucky winner via random draw.

The contest closes at 10 pm Pacific on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008. Void where prohibited. I’ll forward the winner’s details to UPrinting — they’ll be handling the logistics of the prize.

Update: this contest is now closed. Congratulations, Callie.

This is a great contest. I have recently started a new business endeavour and would use the postcards to promote my new business by distributing them to my target market.

Diane Haynes says:

I’d print an image of the cover of my book on all 500 and send them to anyone who forgot the elephant but wants to remember again.

Philip Askew says:

Hello
If I won I would use the postcards to send out to current and future clients in my target areas. I consult in real estate development, strategic planning and project management. The markets as a whole are down. My message would be to not focus on not the badtimes the markets are having daily. Focus on how some children have been homeless and going through financial loss for years and to remember to volunteer and donate time currently instead of worrying about when I can help them create excellent project results!

Melanie Osmack says:

I’d distribute the postcards to points of contact for my target market, such as community centres, doctors’ offices and maternity and baby businesses. I’d consider using them as direct mailers to generate leads, too. Thanks.

Laura-Jane says:

Oh man, I want to win!

I’d make Whimfield Farm postcards and send them to everyone I know! Okay, not everyone I know…but a select few!

I used to be an avid pen-pal type, so I love giving and receiving mail.

This is a great contest, Andrea.

Thanks for spreading the love! Free stuff is good. I love the internet.

Mau says:

My wife and I would probably use them to send out a picture of our new little one!

Everyone has been hounding us for photos, so…

You know…

Jon Wood says:

If selected, I would use the postcards to promote my new professional organizing business. I would mail some of them out to key contacts who may need my services or who would be likely to refer me to those who would. I would ask permission to place other postcards in offices and central locations where my potential customers pass by every day. The remainder (if any) I would hand out in person to those who I meet in person that have an interest in my services and need more information than a standard business card provides.

Callie Camp says:

This sounds great! I would use the postcards to advertise the classes I hold in my ‘hood with a spot to invite participants to a specific class type for free. I would probably leave them at places like Little Nest, Libby’s Kitchen and Re-Entry or hand them out at community events.

Tony Rose says:

Andrea – Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

If selected, I would use the post cards to distribute to my current network community as well as the Chamber of Commerce that I belong to. The post card would give a short overview of how Support Analytics can help them, a link to my blog and discount on services using a special discount code.

Thanks again!
Tony

Shari Bowen says:

I have a million of thank you notes to write to some very kind people….
