While Quickbooks is great for accounting and I use it, I really need to keep track of my time well. Each moment of billing I loose is money down the drain. I use Responsive Time Logger to track my time and expenses and it has helped me make tons more money. Their tech support is great, too. Tracking my time with Responsive Time Logger has the added benefit of two important things. 1) it makes my billing look much more credible to my clients. I can tell them I used software to track my time and I keep little notes on what I did for each task. 2) I am able to track time I would have lost. All round - I highly recommend to any consultant that you have software for tracking your time like Responsive Time Logger. They are at: http://www.responisvesoftware.com.

I an currently using freshbooks for all my invoicing. Though quickbooks and freshbooks are really good with easy interface, I am looking for something which is even simpler as I am not an accounting expert. While surfing for some invoicing softwares I came across invoicera. Don't know how it functions but the product seems to be very promising. You can also check it out at http://www.invoicera.com
