So becoming a consultant’s on your mind and you’re still not sure what to do. Why not become a home staging consultant? Home staging consultants have tapped into the flurry of excitement around home makeovers and do-it-yourself interior decorating They specialize in grooming a home to make it more attractive to potential buyers. In a hot market, this can result in multiple bids, sales above list price, and a quick sale. In a slow market, it can make a hum-drum property stand out or sell a little faster.

I recently met someone who mentioned that she’d started helping home sellers stage their properties. She had been working as a home cleaner, but realized that she could add enormous value by staging homes and leaving the cleaning to someone else. Her specialized home decorating and staging services mean she earns a higher rate of pay, too. Just one more reason to become a consultant!

    Great post! There are many rewards to becoming a staging consultant. It is very satisfying when clients sell their home quickly and get more offers than their neighbors in this economy. It was one of the best decisions I have made in my life!
