Become a house flipper — after my post on consulting as a side job, Marc wrote in to ask whether house flipping counts as consulting. House flippers are speculators who buy homes with the intention of selling them quickly for profit.

Professional house flippers draw from their specialized knowledge of real estate, design, home renovation and market conditions. However, in bubbly markets, amateurs often get into flipping houses and may have no expertise at all. So I wouldn’t consider most house flippers to be consultants. And, even in the case of professionals, the focus is more on delivering a finished product for an unknown buyer, so that’s not really consulting either. However, that doesn’t mean that professional house flippers couldn’t also provide consulting services or that they don’t have specialized skills.

    i own missouri real estate exchange in kansas city missouri. we buy 6-8 homes per month to rehab and resell. our primary focus right now due to market conditions is cash flowing rental properties that we sell to out of state investors at 70-80% of appraised value with guaranteed occupancy and maintenance for the 1st year.
    we have just purchased a home that would make a great flip this house show. it is a very rundown house full of trash in an upscale trendy neighborhood. it will be a full gut rehab top to bottom with a high profit potential at the end. we have our team in place and will be starting the project once we close approx the 15th of december.
    we are very well known in kansas city with numerous newspaper articles, news broadcasts etc.. and we also have our own radio show every saturday morning about real estate investing.

    If your generating your payments on time monthly, you might be able to call the credit card firm and ask them to lower your interest rate. Some companies will do that only if you might have been doing your payments on time every month. The other advice will be to use your income tax to cut that debt in half or any bonuses that you simply may receive throughout the year.
